This isn’t where the upper level of SEC starters begins, but it could be because Brandon Harris has the tools and the weapons around him to be good enough. LSU’s biggest weakness is their passing game and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron’s lack of faith in the junior quarterback. His 2015 season totals look strong. He threw for 2,165 yards, 13 touchdowns to just six interceptions. But, his completion percentage was well below average at 53.8.

Harris threw for 2,165 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions but his completion percentage was well below average at 53.8 and outside of connecting on a few deep passes to receivers, he wasn’t very reliable and the offense became one-dimensional.

Luckily, the offense brings eight starters, including his receiver duo of Travin Dural and Malachi Dupre who combined to catch 71 passes for 1,231 yards and nine touchdowns.

LSU returns the best running back in the country in Leonard Fournette who begins the season as the Heisman favorite after rushing for 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns on 300 carries. Last season, the Tigers relied on Fournette too much because Harris couldn’t play consistently but the hope is with a full season under his belt he should fare better. The Tigers’ national title hopes rest on his right shoulder.
