3. The Consistency of Bob Stoops

Say what you want about OU head coach Bob Stoops, the man has been nothing but consistent. Since taking the job as Sooners head man in 1999, he has led them to a winning record every single year. His tenure has included 17 straight winning seasons and 13 10-win seasons.

Also worth noting is the National Championship appearances his teams made in 2000 and 2008. In 2000, the Sooners beat the Florida State Seminoles 13-2 in the Orange Bowl and finished with a No. 1 ranking. 2008 was a different story as they lost to the Florida Gators 24-14 and finished with a No. 5 ranking.

Nevertheless, he has shown that he can get to the big game, and at the very least win on a consistent basis. He will continue that consistency this year with a returning cast and offensive and defensive weapons abound. This team is one of the strongest Stoops has had in years and there is talent abound at his disposal.
