  • Career Stats: 3,424 passing yards, 25 TDs, 19 Ints
  • 2015 Stats: 305 passing yards, 2 TDs, 2 Ints

Trevor Knight was once a “God among men” in Norman, Oklahoma after the 2014 Sugar Bowl victory against Alabama. Knight was nearly perfect that night, going 32-44 for 348 yards passing and four touchdown passes.

Then came the 2014 season for the Sooners and Knight. The season did not play out from where it was expected to pick up from following that Sugar Bowl game. The Sooners went 8-5 and Knight never seemed to pick up where he left off.

Knight was beaten out for the job by Baker Mayfield and at the end of the 2015 season announced his intention to transfer as a graduate to play immediately and ended up at Texas A&M. Knight looked good in the A&M spring game with 282 yards passing and two touchdowns.

Entering the 2016 season, Knight appears to have the lead for the job in College Station. It will be Knight’s chance to show that he can lead a top team in a tough conference. Texas A&M will provide many weapons for Knight to get the ball too, in particular, Christian Kirk, Josh Reynolds and Ricky Seals-Jones.

Expect Knight to do well for A&M, but in the tough SEC West, the Aggies might not have enough complete team talent to push for a division title against the likes of Alabama, Ole Miss, and LSU.
