1. Georgia Bulldogs upset by North Carolina Tar Heels

North Carolina football has never really been a consistent force on the field. In fact, it seems like every other year, they come in with some hype, but don’t reach their potential. First-year starting quarterback Mitch Trubisky comes in ready to take a shot at the Bulldogs. Will he take control early and give the Dawgs a run for their money?

On the Bulldogs sideline, they aren’t sure who will be taking the field at quarterback this weekend. For months, those who follow the SEC thought Jacob Eason would get the starting nod, but Kirby Smart has yet to decide. Greyson Lambert is also in competition for the job, but his performance last year would lead many to shy away from him opening the season.

It isn’t difficult to see Smart’s hesitance to start the highly touted freshman, Eason, but if he truly is the future like Dawg fans claim then he needs game experience immediately. Of course, the quarterback position is maybe the only question mark on the team. Running back Nick Chubb is a monster, but will he be healthy enough? If not, Sony Michel is dealing with an injury that has him a game-time decision. The Georgia defense should be decent again, and hopefully, with Smart, it will be even scarier than year’s past.

When it comes down to it, I don’t think the Bulldogs are ready to win a big game, not with an unsettled quarterback situation and injured backs. Make no mistake, the game against the Tar Heels is a big one. Especially for a first-time time head coach. Look for this game to come down to the wire, but watch out for UNC. I think they are hungry enough and dangerous enough to pull off the upset this weekend.
