More from Saturday Blitz

While the Huskies are the darlings of preseason Pac-12 picks this year, things have been rather stale in Seattle for quite some time. The Huskies are still looked at by NFL scouts, and have some talent, but have only had 20 players drafted since 2005.

The 1980s and 90s were far more kind to Washington regarding the draft, with some talented and large classes exiting the school. 1992 and 1983 both saw 11 Huskies drafted with a lot of long-time NFL talent.

There’s no disputing the biggest bust out of Washington (and one of the biggest in NFL history) was 1992 first overall pick Steve Emtman, who was supposed to change the landscape for the Indianapolis Colts, but instead only played three injury-filled and disappointing seasons there, bouncing around for a few more until retiring in 1997.
