McDuffie (1993), Shane Conlan (1987), Curt Warner (1983), Todd Blackledge (1983), Mike Munchak (1982), Franco Harris (1972), Ted Kwalick (1969), Lenny Moore (1956)

Regardless of where Penn State found themselves a few years ago, there was a time when this was one of the premier college football programs in the nation and regularly sent scores of players on to the NFL.

It’s hard to find an NFL roster which doesn’t have at least one or two former Nittany Lions on it, and head coach James Franklin has things trending in that direction again, with eight players being selected in the last two seasons.

You won’t find a bigger or maybe deeper draft class than Penn State’s 1987 group, which sent 13 players (including three running backs in the first three rounds) on to the pros.

Both former number one overall picks – Courtney Brown and Ki-Jana Carter – would have to be considered the school’s two biggest draft busts, with neither coming anywhere near the production expected of the draft’s top pick.
