Number 9. Arkansas

Week 1 result: (1-0) 21-20 Win against Louisiana Tech

It was not a pretty day for Arkansas, but they escaped with a win nonetheless and reminding fans of the disaster against Toledo during the 2015 season.

While Arkansas did come out on the winning side of this game, questions abound for a team that has a penchant for playing mediocre football in September and then becoming conference contenders in November. The Razorback defense looked mellow if not sometimes just outright bad. The offense was subpar, mostly due to Austin Allen’s two interceptions.

Arkansas may make analysts and their own fans nervous but this team has a history of becoming a much better team as the season goes on. The wait and see approach is the best case scenario when evaluating the Razorbacks.

Next Game: Saturday, September 10, at TCU 7:00 ET ESPN
