Number 7. Auburn

Week 1 result: (0-1) 19-13 Loss to Clemson

Auburn was perhaps the biggest surprise of the opening weekend in the SEC. Auburn was expected to get blown out by Clemson and yet they hung on and almost pulled off a huge upset.

If Auburn had an offense then they would have won the game. The defense for Auburn was stellar. You could not have asked for a better performance against the second ranked team in the country. Defense will continue to be critical for Auburn if they want to make a bowl game in 2016 and they proved that the defense can be as good as any last Saturday.

Auburn lost a lot on offense in the form of running backs and yet Kerryon Johnson moved the ball well. Sean White will have to play better in order for the offense to become efficient.
