College Football Rankings 2016: Projected AP Top 25 after Week 3
By Zach Bigalke
TCU should be back in the Top 25 after falling out of the polls for just one week, their loss to Arkansas looking less detrimental with each passing week that the Razorbacks keep winning. Kyle Hicks racked up 117 rushing yards in just a dozen carries, Texas A&M transfer Kenny Hill continued to manage the offense behind center without any major mistakes, and Gary Patterson’s defense contained the Cyclones to just 4.3 yards per play. It won’t entirely erase the overtime loss from last weekend, but at least the Horned Frogs can take a cue from Les Miles and claim they’re undefeated in regulation.
A trip to SMU next week in the Battle for the Iron Skillet will conclude non-conference play for the Horned Frogs before they dive into Big 12 play in earnest. TCU will face Oklahoma at home in two weeks, and their schedule really heats up in November when they face Baylor in Waco, Oklahoma State at home, and Texas in Austin on consecutive weekends.
