1. Alabama (3-0)

Last week rank: 1

Week 3 result: 48-43 win against Ole Miss

Alabama remains atop the SEC pecking order, but it sure looked like they wouldn’t during the game against Ole Miss.

The Crimson Tide finally found a ground game, and it came at the right time as they certainly needed a spark during the game after they got down 24-3. Alabama rushed for over 300 yards on offense and Jalen Hurts was a huge part of that and allowed for diversity in the offense. Hurts has proven that he can handle being in a hostile environment and make the plays needed to win games. Alabama’s defense was on its heels for most of the first half against the Rebels but adjusted well and pretty much shut the Ole Miss offense down in the second half.

The Crimson Tide are still the standard of the SEC and perhaps the best team in the country and will look to remain on top all the way to the National Championship.
