Week 3 result -36-28 win over Notre Dame

Last week Michigan State fell down the power rankings because of a rocky Week 1 victory and no way to prove it was a fluke in Week 2. That changed when they beat Notre Dame.

The Spartans finally began their 2016 the way many thought they would. A win against a top 25 team was exactly what they needed to quiet the haters. Of course, Notre Dame isn’t the top tier team most thought they would be heading into the season, but nonetheless the win was a plus for Michigan State.

Next week they have an opportunity to show once again that they are one of the best teams in the country by starting their Big Ten play with a win against Wisconsin.
