The Florida State Seminoles found their offense this week and remain steady at number four in this week’s power rankings. Their 55-35 victory over South Florida shows there’s no need to panic, just yet.

It was the Dalvin Cook show in South Florida as the running back rushed for 267 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Cook also had 4 catches for 62 yards on the day.

The Florida State offense accumulated 478 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground debuting a two-headed monster in the backfield. Running back Jacques Patrick also had 20 carries for 124 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback Deondre Francois was 11 for 19 with 169 passing yards and a touchdown. He also had 75 rushing yards and a touchdown in the game.

This Week: North Carolina

The Seminoles face North Carolina in their second ACC game of the season this week. They are 0-1 so far and look to take the Tar Heels to town to get back on track. The Seminoles are 15-2 all time against North Carolina.

The Hurricanes are coming off a bye week so their ranking remains the same at number three. They face Georgia Tech on the road this week. They are averaging 51 points per game while allowing just 7.7 points per game. We’ll see if that can hold up this week against the Yellow Jackets.
