The North Carolina Tar Heels remain steady at number 6 in this week’s power rankings. Their victory over Pittsburgh isn’t unnoticed however.

The Tar Heels converted three straight fourth down conversions, going 4 for 4 in the game, to score on a touchdown pass with just two seconds left in the game.

Quarterback Mitch Trubisky completed 35 passes for 453 passing yards and five touchdowns. He threw no interceptions.

Senior wide receiver Ryan Switzer had 16 catches for 208 yards and 1 touchdown. Wide receiver Austin Proehl had 7 catches for 99 yards and a touchdown. Receiver Bug Howard had six catches for 66 yards and two touchdowns, including the game winner.

The Tar Heels won despite only gaining 18 rushing yards in the game.

The Tar Heels travel to Tallahassee this week to face the Florida State Seminoles. The Tar Heels are 2-15 all time against the Seminoles.
