The Wake Forest Demon Deacons remain steady at number five in this week’s power rankings. This week’s 33-28 victory at Indiana was impressive and the Demon Deacons are off their their first 4-0 start in 10 years.

Running back Matt Colburn had 29 carries for 103 yards. Quarterback John Wolford threw for 172 yards and a touchdown while running for 61 yards and two touchdowns.

Despite allowing over 600 yards of offense, the Wake Forest defense had five interceptions in the game, including a 55-yard pick six. They also blocked a field goal attempt by Indiana in the game.

The Demon Deacons are two games away from bowl eligibility, something was unforeseen at the beginning of the season. Stay tuned, as their defense keeps on setting the tone in their victories.

The Demon Deacons travel to NC State. No big deal, if you consider the Demon Deacons have already won their first ACC game of the season at Duke in Week 2.
