College Football Rankings 2016: Week 5 AP Poll winners and losers
TCU Horned Frogs
The TCU Horned Frogs climbed back into the AP Poll rankings, clocking in at No. 21. The Horned Frogs dropped out the the AP rankings in Week 3 after losing to Arkansas 41-38 in double overtime.
The Horned Frogs used a dominant 33-3 performance over the SMU Mustangs to get the attention of voters this week. They won this week behind the arm of quarterback Kenny Hill.
Hill threw for 452 passing yards and 2 passing touchdowns to lead the way for the TCU offense. After a slow first half, the Horned Frogs jumped out to a big lead before the final whistle.
TCU score 27 points in the second half while allowing none. The Horned Frogs defense had two interceptions and held SMU to just 76 rushing yards on the day.
Next Week: Oklahoma
Their AP ranking will be tested once again next week when the Oklahoma Sooners come to town. The Horned Frogs have won one of the last five meetings with the Sooners.
