Wisconsin Badgers

The Wisconsin Badgers showed their dominance in their Big Ten conference opener against the Michigan State Spartans. They climbed to the No. 8 spot in this week’s AP Poll rankings.

Their 30-6 road victory was the Spartans worst home loss since 2009.

Defense ruled the day and offense kept the pace in the Badgers victory. The Wisconsin defense forced four turnovers, including a 66-yard fumble return for a touchdown.

Quarterback Alex Hornibrook was 16 for 26 for 195 passing yards and a passing touchdown. The rushing attack managed to rack up 122 yards and running back Corey Clement had two rushing touchdowns in the game.

The Badgers made Spartans quarterback Tyler O’Connor uncomfortable all game, holding the Michigan State offense scoreless in the second half. O’Connor threw three interceptions as well.

Next Week: @Michigan

The Badgers travel to face Big Ten foe Michigan next week, which makes for great college football next week. Wisconsin has won the last two meetings although both teams have not met since 2010.
