Traveling to play UMass is never easy. Wait, did I just type that? Well at least Mississippi State won.

The Bulldogs got off to a very slow start but were able to pull things together just in time to get the win over Massachusetts on Saturday. Nick Fitzgerald played a solid game with no interceptions and threw for 3 TDs as the Bulldog offense woke up in the second half and never looked back. After a tough loss to SEC West foe LSU last Saturday, the Bulldogs needed a win, against UMass it almost looked like it might not happen but the Bulldogs caused some turnovers on defense and got ahead and stayed there.

Mississippi State has an off week this week, then they host the Auburn Tigers in a game that will be critical for both teams’ bowl hopes.
