The 11-year streak came to an end after the Florida Gators were defeated by Tennessee this past Saturday.

Florida played a tremendous first half, and looked to be cruising to a solid victory despite the loss of Luke Del Rio at quarterback. After the 21-0 lead, however, Florida seemed to go conservative on offense and it hurt the Gators so much so that it resulted in a loss. Credit to Tennessee, they could have just gave up and given a half effort for the rest of the game, but they didn’t give up. Florida now has to hope that Alabama and another SEC East team beat the Volunteers if the Gators are to have any chance at getting to the SEC Championship game this season.

Florida will need Luke Del Rio back at quarterback soon, he was key to the offense and without him, the Gators could not sustain enough to win.
