Mason Rudolph threw for 392 yards and three touchdowns. Justice Hill contributed 135 rushing yards and a score. Jalen McCleskey had four catches for 109 yards and two of Rudolph’s TDs. And even though their defense allowed 568 yards to the Longhorns, Oklahoma State still ran away with an 18-point victory over a ranked team on Saturday. As a result, Mike Gundy’s team is poised to move its way back up into the AP Top 25 after falling out over the past few weeks.

The Pokes first tumbled out when they suffered their controversial loss to Central Michigan. They’ve also lost to Baylor and are a game down in Big 12 play, but wins over Pittsburgh out of conference and now Texas in league play show that the Cowboys are probably not far off from contention. As Texas tumbles out, the team that gave them the boot leaps up to take their space.
