Maryland racked up 400 rushing yards at home on Saturday. Their defense allowed visiting Purdue just 10 yards on the ground. The Terrapins scored the first 36 points of the game, and added two more touchdowns after Purdue found its way onto the scoreboard. Despite losing two the turnover battle and having less time of possession, Maryland never gave the Boilermakers a chance to catch up.

As a result undefeated Maryland will likely enter the AP Top 25 this week for the first time in 2016. The Terrapins play at Penn State next week, and all their hardest tests in the Big Ten East still await. While teams like Ohio State and Michigan are obvious favorites to capture the division, Maryland has a strong running game and a solid defense that have propelled the Terps into the top 30 in both scoring offense and scoring defense.
