The Wolfpack climb to number 7 in this week’s ACC Power Rankings. The NC State Wolfpack are now 1-0 in ACC play after an easy victory over Wake Forest 33-16. It was head coach Dave Doeren’s first ACC season opening victory.

NC State has won two games in a row and currently sits at an interesting position in the ACC Atlantic division. The Wolfpack put up 527 yards on the 12th ranked run defense and 20th ranked scoring defense.

Running back Matt Dayes ran for 125 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Ryan Finley threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns. The Wolfpack face Clemson and Louisville in back-to-back weeks on the road. That is after they play Notre Dame next week.

This Week: Notre Dame

NC State gets their crack at the Fighting Irish next week. It should be a good game between two explosive offenses. The Wolfpack have very underrated offensive weapons.
