7. 2009-2010 Winged Shoulders
Throughout the 2009 and 2010 seasons, Oregon’s look was marked by the appearance of wings over the shoulder pads. This was a switch from the diamond plating that had been utilized in previous seasons, a look that was more in tune with the notion of Ducks. This uniform pattern became nationally known as the Ducks won their first dozen games of the 2010 season before falling to Auburn in a close BCS Championship Game.
The look was relatively simple, and allowed for up to 80 different color combinations. The uniform featured the standard O logo on four different helmet colors (white, black, green, and carbon), five jersey colors (yellow, green, black, and two different white jerseys), and pants in either green, black, white, or steel. This evolution of the Oregon uniform presented a marked shift to deemphasize yellow in the color scheme, with only they jersey providing an opportunity to add one of the two school colors into the mix.
