6. 2014 Mach Speed Uniform (various colors throughout year)

The Mach Speed look at Oregon made its debut appearance at the 2013 Alamo Bowl, where the Ducks ended Mack Brown’s career with an emphatic 30-7 win. The look continued in various color schemes through the 2014 season, combining a variation of different arrangements of green, yellow, white, black, and grey. This design remained the base look throughout 2014 and has featured prominently in seasons since.

The key to this design is the shift to a more abstract wing look around the neck and shoulders. The pattern extended to the helmet as well. The stylized feather pattern allowed for two-tone coloration, as is seen in the above photo from the 2014 season opener. By this point Oregon was scattershot in the colors used to represent the team, but the fact that Nike created this uniform allowed the Ducks to have a unified look even when they couldn’t decide on which colors to wear from week to week.
