The USC Trojans haven’t had the easiest of schedules to start the season. It started with #1 Alabama, Utah State (easy), #7 Stanford, then #24 Utah. Besides beating Utah State, they took out previous unbeaten Arizona State last week. I believe USC may have the most questionable team on the basis of talent in all of the Pac-12.

Their game against Arizona State was not much of a contest. They took a 27-6 lead into halftime, and then expanded it to a 41-20 victory. The Sun Devils had no chance in this game. At one point ASU was leading 41-6.

Sam Darnold really took the Trojans on a nice drive up and down the field on Arizona State. He finished with 352 yards and three touchdowns. Better yet, he got JuJu Smith-Schuster involved in his best game of the season. Smith-Schuster caught seven passes for 123-yards and three touchdowns. After a quiet start to the season, where the talented wide receiver only caught 11 balls for 99 yards and two touchdowns in his first three games.

Now USC will have to test how good they are in the next few weeks. They face #21 Colorado at home and then on the road to Arizona. It will be interesting to see if USC can slow down the emergence of the Buffaloes.
