The North Carolina Tar Heels dropped their first ACC game of the season 34-3 to the Virginia Tech Hokies. They drop to the sixth spot in this week’s power rankings.

Quarterback Mitch Trubisky is perfect no longer as his streak of pass completions without an interception ended against Virginia Tech. Trubisky threw for just 58 passing yards and two interceptions in a rain-soaked game. It snapped Trubisky’s streak of four straight games with at least 400 passing yards.

The Tar Heels looked out of sync on offense all game. They had just 131 total yards of offense, eight first downs, and were 2 for 14 on third down conversions. They turned the ball over four times as well.

This Week: @Miami

There’s no time to dwell on last week as the Tar Heels travel to Miami this week. The Hurricanes will have their loss to the Seminoles fresh on their mind, North Carolina, beware.
