The New York Giants draft Florida State defensive end Demarcus Walker in this week’s mock draft.

The depth that put the Giants defense at the top in 2014 is no longer present. They rank last in sacks as a team with just six this season. The defense also ranks 14th in passing yards per game, allowing 363.7 yards per contest.

In 2014, the Giants had 47 sacks as a team. In the past two seasons, they’ve come up with just 29. Walker can change all of that. He is versatile and explosive and stays low in the pass rushing game.

He ranks second in the ACC and sixth in the FBS in sacks with six this season and is third in the ACC and fifth in the FBS in forced fumbles with three. In his four seasons as a Seminole so far, he has 137 tackles, 29 tackles for loss, and 17.5 sacks.
