Week 8 result – 34-32 win over Rutgers

Minnesota continues to hold on to their winning season. Even a two-point win is a victory for the Golden Gophers this year.

The Golden Gophers are hoping to just ride this season out and keep inching by teams on their way to a bowl game. They aren’t going to be ranked in the top 25 or compete for the Big Ten championship. What they are going to do, however, is finish with a record good enough to be considered for a bowl, and hopefully in the top half of the Big Ten power rankings.

This season isn’t something to look down upon for the Golden Gophers. At 5-2, they have a better record than most of the Big Ten. That’s a win through eight weeks.
