While Baylor and West Virginia still have better overall records, Oklahoma is now alone atopthe Big 12 standings. The Sooners moved to 5-0 in conference play after knocking off Kansas 56-3 at home on Saturday. The OU defense held Kansas under 200 total yards of offense. Baker Mayfield threw for 236 yards and four touchdowns, while the Sooners gave carries to nine different runners on a day when victory was secured quickly.

Bob Stoops’ team opens November on the road at Iowa State on a Thursday night. The Cyclones should have no chance at home, yet this still screams trap game with Baylor and West Virginia looming right afterward on the schedule. The Bears come to Norman on November 12, and Oklahoma follows it up with a trip to Morgantown the following Saturday. If they manage to win against both Baylor and the Mountaineers, and Oklahoma State also keeps winning, the Bedlam game at home against the Cowboys would become a Big 12 title game.
