College Football Rankings 2016: Projected AP Top 25 after Week 9

Florida took care of business in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, winning by two touchdowns over Georgia to consolidate its position atop the SEC East. The Gators didn’t look very formidable on offense, but they still managed to win handily. Luke Del Rio threw for only 131 yards with a touchdown and a pick, and the ground game combined for just 100 rushing yards. But the Florida defense held the Bulldogs to just 21 total rushing yards and 164 yards from scrimmage on offense and only spent 23 minutes on the field.
After Tennessee lost to South Carolina, Florida could lose one of its three remaining conference games and still play in the SEC championship game in December. The Gators play at Arkansas to begin November, then finish the home schedule against South Carolina on November 12. The rescheduled game against LSU is now in Baton Rouge, and if they win out in league play they will reach the title game regardless of what happens in the regular season finale against Florida State.
