College Football Rankings 2016: Projected AP Top 25 after Week 10
By Zach Bigalke
Colorado continued winning on Thursday night, holding UCLA to just 10 points as they guaranteed the school’s first winning season in over a decade. It wasn’t all pretty for the Buffaloes, as Sefo Liufau and Steven Montez combined for just 160 passing yards and three interceptions against the Bruins. But running back Phillip Lindsay finished with 149 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown and Isaiah Oliver added a 68-yard punt return for a score to pace the Colorado victory.
The AP poll has bee hesitant to boost the Buffaloes up the Top 25, but the CFP committee had no issues with bumping them right into the top 15 of their rankings right off the bat. The AP voters are likely to follow suit, especially since Colorado has the inside track in the Pac-12 South at the moment. Their only two losses have come on the road against Michigan and USC, and they get to closed the year at home against ranked Washington State and Utah. Mike McIntyre’s team might be a few spots lower than the CFP rankings this week, but they’re gaining respect.
