The Pittsburgh Panthers drop a few spots in this week’s power rankings after their 28-point performance against the Miami Hurricanes. The Panthers come in at nine entering week 10.

The offense was held under 200 rushing yards for the second straight week after rushing for over the same total in six straight weeks. It marks the second two-game losing streak for the Panthers as well.

The defense allowed 51 points this week and over 500 yards of offense for the second straight week.

It was a week of streaks for the Panthers on both sides of the ball but this time in the negative direction. The Pittsburgh defense allows the most passing yards in the ACC at 317.1 yards per game. Against Miami, they allowed 356 passing yards on defense.

Quarterback Nate Peterman did throw for a season-high 287 passing yards for the Panthers. So there was one positive takeaway.

This Week: @Clemson

The Panthers travel to Death Valley to face the Clemson Tigers this week. The defense will need to be prepared for another high-powered passing offense or they could be surrendering 50 points or more again. It is the first meeting between the teams since 1977.
