The Miami Hurricanes move up four spots after their impressive victory over Pittsburgh 51-28. They snapped a four-game losing streak after starting the season 4-0.

At 2-3 in the ACC, the Hurricanes can still finish on the positive side of the column with more wins. With Virginia, NC State, and Duke left, there’s a possibility to finish 5-3, but they’ll need more performances like Week Nine.

The Hurricanes offense put up 26 first downs and 356 passing yards on their way to an easy victory. It was the most first downs the Hurricanes have produced all season. They ran for over 100 rushing yards after being held to 18 and 42 rushing yards as a team in the last two games.

Quarterback Brad Kaaya threw four passing touchdowns, two each to receivers Stacy Coley and David Njoku on the day. Receiver Ahmonn Richards caught eight passes for 144 yards as well.

If the Hurricanes can put together more performances like this on offense, they’ll surely win the rest of their ACC games.

This Week: Bye

The Hurricanes get a week off this week and will get a chance to rest. After snapping a four-game losing streak, it’s well deserved but they’ll need to be prepared for Virginia come November 12.
