Florida Gators

Florida 10-Arkansas 31

Just last week I gave McElwain credit for being able to pull out victories despite his failures as an alleged offensive genius. HIs offensive deficiencies, though, cost the Gators any shot at beating Arkansas. The Razorbacks pulled off their annual surprise W over an elite team that has become common place under Bielema.

While the passing attack was moderately successful, the rushing attack was nonexistent. If Florida is going to make it to Atlanta for their second straight SEC Football Championship Game, that will have to change.

Impact Moving Forward

-Bump in the road

There is good news and bad news for the Gators moving forward. The Florida Gators have South Carolina, LSU and Florida State left on the docket. If the Gators can go 1-1 in their remaining SEC football games, it can mean another SEC East Championship.

While Jim McElwain’s tenure has been disappointing offensively, two straight SEC East Championships will be more than enough to keep the fans in Gainesville happy.
