3. Wisconsin wins the Big Ten

As stated before, there is a world in which the team that wins the Big Ten Championship doesn’t make the CFP. That world could quite possibly become our reality. To Wisconsin and Penn State they are looking at that world, they are looking at their reality and their reality is that they can win the Big Ten with one more win.

This is an offense vs defense type of game. Wisconsin’s offense has been rather weak all year. Their defense is the reason that they are where they are. They only allow 13.7 points per game which is the third best defense in the country. Wisconsin wins the defensive battle. Penn State on the other hand wins the offensive battle. Both teams have a running back that has run for over 1,000 yards and for more than 10 touchdowns. Penn State has the advantage at QB.

Trace McSorley has been effective throwing and running with the ball. Yet in big games this year, McSorley hasn’t shown up. Even though they won over Ohio State, McSorley only completed eight passes for 154 yards. In a huge loss against Michigan, he only threw for 124 yards. Wisconsin’s third ranked defense will be in his face all night and will look to force him into another bad game.

With how good Wisconsin’s defense has been, Penn State can’t afford McSorley to have another off night. Because of defense, Wisconsin will win the Big Ten championship. It will be low scoring and Wisconsin will come out on top.
