5. Chidobe Awuzie, CB Colorado

Chidobe Awuzie is the first half of what will be the biggest matchup of the whole game, Awuzie defending Washington receiver John Ross. Although Awuzie may only stand at 6’0” tall, he has been slowly rising up the NFL draft board as the year progressed.

On the season, Awuzie has 54 tackles, 4 sacks, an interception, two forced fumbles and nine passes defended. In Colorado’s game against Michigan, Michigan WR’s Jehu Chesson and Amara Darboh only had two catches for 51 yards. Awuzie did good work against both. Look for Awuze to shut down John Ross at the line and not let Ross beat him with speed.

Awuzie will for sure have a huge part in how this game turns out. He will either have shut down Ross and thus helped slow down Washington’s offense. Or he may get beat on multiple occasions and Washington may have an easy time throwing the ball. Awuzie will have to be a shut down corner to help give his Buffs a chance.
