The Seminoles took care of business in their regular-season finale against rival Florida, finishing an up-and-down regular season with nine wins. Florida State endured one of the toughest schedules in the country this year, going 4-0 against a non-conference schedule that included Ole Miss, South Florida, and the Gators. They enter the postseason having won four straight and could be on course for the school’s fifth straight season with at least 10 wins.

The big question now becomes whether Florida State or Louisville will snag the ACC’s spot in the Orange Bowl this year. While the Cardinals obliterated Jimbo Fisher’s team earlier this season in their head-to-head divisional encounter, the Seminoles entered championship weekend ahead of Louisville in the College Football Playoff standings that will determine which team gets the nod.
