2. RB Jacques Patrick, Florida State

After two seasons of playing behind running back Dalvin Cook, it’s time to see what running back Jacques Patrick can do. Patrick ran for 348 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the year. His freshman season included 314 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He’s due for a breakout year in 2017.

Patrick split carries with Cook early in the season and he did well. He carried the ball 20 times for 124 rushing yards and a touchdown in a 55-35 victory over South Florida. They’ll face the Michigan Wolverines in the Orange Bowl on December 30, and the Wolverines boast a very good defense. Look for Patrick to be an X-factor when the two teams face each other.

With Cook completely out of the way next season, look for Patrick to make a name for himself. He’ll be a nice rusher to have with quarterback Deondre Francois on the field.
