Of all of the prospects coming out of Alabama, one Crimson Tide prospect that I still feel like isn’t getting enough attention is outside linebacker Ryan Anderson. Hopefully a nice showing at the Senior Bowl will change that.

Anderson had an extremely productive career with the Crimson Tide. This season, the Alabama linebacker was able to rack up 19 tackles for loss, nine sacks, 10 QB hurries and four forced fumbles.

Although Anderson isn’t the biggest prospect at 6-foot-2 and 258 pounds, he’s still an explosive player off of the edge who is more than capable of bending the edge after getting a great jump off of the line of scrimmage. The best phrase to describe Anderson is “heat-seeking missile”, as he seems to always have a nose for the ball.

With great footwork and violent hands, Anderson is as technically sound as they come for edge rushers. He’s still a work in progress when it comes to pass coverage, but Anderson looks like someone who could come in and make an immediate impact as a pass rusher.

Anderson struggled a bit in the first practice of the Senior Bowl on Tuesday, but if he can bounce back and have a big game on Saturday, he should be able to solidify his status as a first-round pick.
