3. Aubrey Solomon, DT, Lee County (GA)

It’s easy, when looking at all of the talent in Georgia, to wonder why every program in the state doesn’t just build a fence around the border and keep all of their best athletes at home. The Bulldogs didn’t have to stray too far from Athens to locate Aubrey Solomon. He’s a 6-foot-3, 288 pound defensive tackle from Leesburg, Georgia. He’s also seen as a five-star defensive tackle tackle by 247Sports.com.

The Bulldogs hope they can add Solomon, along with fellow defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, to the Georgia defensive line. Wyatt is 6-foot-3 and weighs in at 300 pounds. He’s seen as the 14th-best defensive tackle in the country and the 28th-best overall player in the state of Georgia by 247Sports.com. As good as he is, Solomon has the potential to be even better. Solomon is seen as the 25th-best player in the nation, the second-best player in the nation at his position and the 3rd-best player in the state of Georgia regardless of position.

The Bulldogs weren’t able to keep Solomon a secret, however, and they’ll need to do a little bit of work to convince him to stay at home. They’ll have to contend with the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Michigan Wolverines, the USC Trojans and the Auburn Tigers to earn his letter of intent. Then again, they could think about that fence idea.
