5. Ameer Speed and Eric Stokes, CB, Sandalwood (FL) and Eastside (GA)

The Bulldogs have also made strides to bolster their secondary. That shouldn’t be a surprise with a new defensive-minded head coach. The hard work his staff has put in seems to have paid off, and now they appear to be close to adding two very talented corners to their program. Meet Ameer Speed, a 6-foot-3 prospect from Jacksonville, Florida, and Eric Stokes, a 6-foot prospect from Covington, Georgia.

247Sports.com sees Speed as a three star prospect. He’s ranked 41st on their list of the best cornerbacks in the country. He’s also ranked 44th on their list of players from the state of Florida. Stokes is 61st on their list of corners and 65th on their list of the best players from the state of Florida.

Both approach National Signing Day are believed to choose Georgia as the school they’ll be attending for the next four years.

For those of you who are thinking that a 6-foot-3 corner is a little unusual, you’re not alone. That’s been the cause for quite some discussion during Speed’s recruitment. As stated in the video, he’s not worried about anything. He could eventually transition to safety, but until then, opposing quarterbacks shouldn’t throw anything up for grabs.
