4. USC Trojans

One of the most exciting programs in the country has to be USC. The Trojans are fresh off a big Rose Bowl comeback victory over Penn State and Clay Helton’s one gloomy start to his head coaching career became an impressive opening season.

It’s not easy to overcome a 1-3 start to the season with a near 50-point loss to Alabama, but the Trojans went on a nine-game winning streak, capping off the season with the most exciting bowl game.

Helton’s second recruiting class is proof that despite all of the coaching changes, the Trojans have an easy brand to sell. He has currently assembled the ninth-ranked class in the country and the top group in the Pac-12. The Trojans need a strong finish to stay ahead of the rest of the conference, such as Washington.

Joseph Lewis leads the list of remaining big-time recruits left on USC’s board. The five-star wide out is ranked the No. 31 prospect in the country and fourth-best receiver. He’s considered a USC-lean.

Five-star offensive tackle Austin Jackson from Phoenix is also a major target who could be leaning toward the Trojans. They need to beat out Arizona State and Washington for him.

Greg Johnson, a four-star athlete from Los Angeles, four-star safety Isaiah Pola-Moa, four-star tight end Josh Falo, four-star defensive end Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa and three-star defensive end Aliki Vimahi could also be part of the class.

Don’t overlook top targets such as K’Lavon Chaisson, Jay Tufele and Levi Jones who might just be leaning elsewhere, however.
