Scott Frost already had four of his three-star recruits from the Class of 2017 on campus at UCF, and he landed 16 more on National Signing Day. After taking massive strides from a winless 2015 campaign to return to bowl eligibility in 2016, the Knights could be a contender for the American Athletic Conference and a New Year’s Six bowl invitation thanks to the talent they brought on board this offseason.

After playing nine games as a true freshman last year, quarterback McKenzie Milton will have four new receivers with whom to work in 2017. They will also have Bentavious Thompson, the 33rd-ranked running back in the country, on board next season to bolster the backfield. In addition to mining the fertile recruiting ground of Florida, UCF also snagged seven out-of-state players. Even the pair of two-star players signed by UCF, inside linebacker T.J. Pitts and offensive guard Cole Schneider, were ranked either inside or on the cusp of the top 100 at their respective positions.
