5. WR Isaiah Ford, Virginia Tech

Wide receiver Isaiah Ford is another Virginia Tech Hokie on the list with tons of potential. He caught 79 receptions for 1,094 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. His receptions are a new career-highs for him. He also led the team in both categories.

Ford became Virginia Tech first 1,000-yard receiver in 2015 then followed that up with another 1,000-yard receiving season. He was fourth in the ACC in receiving yards and fifth in receptions this past season. In 2015, he led the conference in receiving yards with 1,164 yards and also receiving touchdowns with 11.

He had three games with 100 receiving yards or more in 2016. Despite going without a touchdown in the last four games of the season, he still managed for catch 21 passes for 299 receiving yards.

In this week’s NFL Combine, Ford has the opportunity to set himself apart from the rest. He’s got the route-running and spectacular catch ability but he’ll have to show more consistency with his hands. He’s shown he has the durability, playing in all 40 games. Now he’ll just have to limit easy drops at the next level.
