Running back Rawleigh Williams III had a strong 2016 season and returns as one of the running backs to watch on the Arkansas Razorbacks. After playing sparingly in seven games his freshman season, he elevated his play in his sophomore season as starter.

Williams III ran for 1,360 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns for the Razorbacks last seasson. He ranked third in the conference in rushing yards and sixth in rushing touchdowns on 245 rushing attempts. He ran the ball the second-highest amount in the conference in 2016.

Their tough conference schedule didn’t slow down Williams III too much. He ran for over 100 yards or more in seven games last season for Arkansas. He ran for a career-high 205 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns in a 58-42 win over Mississippi State on November 19.

The expectations for Williams III will increase this season as the Razorbacks look to improve their 7-6 record. All but one of their losses last season came against ranked opponents.
