4. Ohio State

Although Michigan is elitist, even their biggest rival has to be more “elite” than them. If you’ve ever heard any Ohio State alum, fan, or admirer of the school they don’t refer it to as “Ohio State”. They refer the school in Columbus as “THEE” Ohio State university. Like there is another Ohio State university somewhere in America. It doesn’t get more “thumb your nose” at everybody else than that.

Most hated Ohio State Buckeye: Woody Hayes

Wayne Woodrow Hayes. Woody as you and I know him. He was the petulant crybaby of a coach who roamed the Ohio State sidelines from 1951-1978. While he won his fair share of games, there wasn’t a moment where Woody wasn’t inciting hate along with laughs and cringes from fans and foes alike. Woody Hayes often used war reference to get through to his players as he would call “Patton” for audibles. His temper got the best of him as he ended his career in shameful fashion as he punched a Clemson player in the 1978 Gator Bowl.
