Snub: NC State not ranked

One of the lesser known threats to the top teams in the ACC is the NC State Wolfpack. This team has the ability to upset anyone on any given Saturday and programs like Clemson, Louisville and Florida State have to be ready. Players like defensive end Bradley Chubb and defensive backs Shawn Boone and Michael Stevens lead what could be one of the most underrated defenses in the country.

NC State isn’t a blue blood program like some of the other names just mentioned. That’s a driving reason why they were not ranked in the top 25. They have talent and they have experience and look prime for a big season in 2017. It should not take long for them to achieve a top 25 ranking early in the year. Just a few early wins in convincing fashion could even land them in the top 15.

Look out for junior quarterback Ryan Finley to make a big splash in the ACC this Fall. He threw for more than 3,000 yards and 19 total touchdowns in 2016. Finley is one of the more overlooked quarterbacks in the Power Five and attention will soon be coming his way. Watch out for the Pack in 2017.
