Surprise: UCLA receiving a vote

UCLA should be more worried about actually making a bowl game than being ranked inside the top 25 right now. Keeping their star quarterback, Josh Rosen, healthy is a huge priority as well. They have not kept Rosen healthy for a full season throughout his two years in college yet.

Junior running back Soso Jamabo will be relied upon as much as Rosen to carry the load for what could be a very good UCLA Bruins squad this year. However, there is so much uncertainty surrounding the team entering the season that the fact that they even got one vote in the Coaches Poll is almost mind-boggling.

They’re competing in a PAC-12 that features teams with an extreme level of motivation to get back to the top like the Oregon Ducks and USC Trojans. Teams like the Washington Huskies, Washington State Cougars, Colorado Buffaloes, and Utah Utes will not be easy outs either. It’s very easy to picture the Bruins finishing up with another four win season for the second year in a row.
