College Football: Buy or sell top 25 teams as National Title contenders
Not many can boast having one player on each side of the ball that is among the best in the nation, if not the absolute best, at their position. Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson brought home the Heisman in his sophomore campaign. Junior cornerback Jaire Alexander intercepted five passes last year and could be a first round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Jackson could be even better in 2017 and that is a scary thought for any team in the ACC that will face Louisville. Surrounding him with talent that he trusts is the big thing for Jackson to take a mental step forward. That is the most important thing for the most polarizing player in college football to improve.

Players like senior wide receiver Reggie Bonnafon, junior tight end Micky Crum, and senior running back Jeremy Smith are all good skilled position players that Jackson should be able to trust. There’s no doubt that Louisville has every bit of the resilience it would take to make a Playoff run, but their mediocre finish to the 2016 season presents some red flags. Still, they have the reigning Heisman tophy winner.
