The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets went 9-4 last season winning the TaxSlayer Bowl 33-18 over the Kentucky Wildcats. While they won their final four games of 2016, they went 4-4 in ACC play.

The Yellow Jackets were the Miami Hurricanes first conference victory last season, 35-21. The Hurricanes lost four straight games after that. However, the ended up winning the final five games of 2016. The 2016 season was a three-part rollercoaster for Miami fans to say the least.

Look for Week Six to be a turning point, except this time in the right direction for the Hurricanes. Miami will be coming off a bye week before a Thursday night road game in primetime against Georgia Tech.

Wide receiver Ahmmon Richards is another name fans should get familiar with in 2017. Richards set the new freshman record for receiving yards (934) last season and posted 49 receptions. He should help bring along whoever the new starting quarterback is.

Richards only had three receiving touchdowns last year. Both Stacy Coley and David Njoku are gone and so are their 17 combined touchdown catches. Richards is next in line to receive a bulk of the receptions.

The Yellow Jackets gave up only one receiving touchdown in last season’s meeting but Brad Kaaya went 13-for-19 with 241 passing yards. In a Thursday night clash, look for a big performance in the passing game.

Final: Georgia Tech 17, Miami 35 (4-1, 2-1 ACC)
