Miami Football: 2017 Game-by-game predictions
The North Carolina Tar Heels will be strong defensively but they may not have enough on offense to last with the Miami Hurricanes. They’re without quarterback Mitch Trubisky as well as running backs Elijah Hood and T.J. Logan. Add wide receivers Ryan Switzer, Mack Hollins and Bug Howard to the list of offensive weapons lost.
The Tar Heels will need wide receiver Austin Proehl to be playing well by this juncture in the season. Wide receiver Thomas Jackson is also expected to play a big role in their offense.

They have the offensive line to throw the ball with adequate pocket protection. By October, fans will see if quarterback Brandon Harris is able to produce for the Tar Heels offense.
Harris will have trouble all game being pressured by the sophomore trio of Shaquille Quarterman, Zach McCloud and Michael Pinckney. They’re leading a resurgence to get the Hurricanes back to national prominence. Quarterman was the team’s second-leading tackler (84) and tied for third on the team in tackles for loss (10.0).
The Hurricanes will continue to be an improved group on defense and it’ll show against North Carolina. Despite heading into a clash against the Virginia Tech Hokies, Miami will be focused for this one.
